The Tax Sale 2020 Properties Listing includes liens on properties with\n delinquent real estate taxes, water bills, and other municipal liens. In\n addition to appearing on the City's tax certificate sale web site,\n BidBaltimore.com, the listing will be printed in the Wednesday, May 13,\n 2020 edition of The Baltimore Sun, and again on Wednesday, May 27, 2020\n in a publication to be announced.

Starting on or about March 11, 2020:\n The Tax Sale 2020 Properties Listing posted on the City's website at\n BidBaltimore.com will be updated bi-weekly through June 2020, and then\n weekly until July 20, 2020. The updated listing will reflect payment\n of the liens and the removal of those liens from Tax Sale 2020, as well as\n any additional interest or penalty or partial payments applied to the\n liens.

Wednesday, May 13, 2020: \n First Printing of Tax Sale 2020 Properties Listing will be published in\n the Baltimore edition of The Baltimore Sun and listed on BidBaltimore.com.

Wednesday, May 27, 2020: Second\n Printing of Tax Sale 2020 Properties Listing will appear in a publication\n to be announced.

Monday, June 1, 2020: June\n letter will be mailed informing owners of Tax Sale 2020.

Tuesday, June\n 30, 2020: Deadline for walk-in payments, on-line payments, and\n mailed payments to reach the City of Baltimore. Final day to have liens on\n properties to be offered at Tax Sale 2020 removed from Tax Sale 2020.

Friday, July 10,\n 2020, 5:00 PM: Deadline to register as a bidder for the July 20\n Tax Sale and July 23 Assignment Sale. To ensure authenticity, the same bank\n account must be used by bidders to register and to purchase certificates.\n The bank account number must be the same for bidder registration payments\n and certificate purchases, with no exceptions.

Friday, July 17, 2020: Final\n update to the Tax Sale 2020 Properties Listing posted on the City's\n auction web site at BidBaltimore.com. Bidders should note the Tax Sale\n 2020 Properties Listing will include a notation indicating the\n final update has taken place.

Friday, July 17, 2020: Bid\n submission period begins on BidBaltimore.com following the final update to\n the Tax Sale 2020 Properties Listing.

Monday, July 20,\n 2020: Acceptance of bids for Tax Sale 2020 begins. Eight batches\n of liens on properties will be offered for bidding throughout the day.\n Batches are scheduled to close each hour, beginning at 9:00 a.m. Local\n Time. Acceptance of bids for the final batch ends at 4:00 p.m. No\n additional batches will be offered and no additional bids will be accepted\n after 4:00 p.m. Local Time.

Monday, July 20,\n 2020: Automatic debit of bank account for winning bidders\n following the close of the last batch at 4:00 p.m. Local Time.

Monday, July 20, 2020: Tax Sale\n 2020 Books will be available. Tax Sale 2020 Books may be purchased at the\n Cashier's Section of the Municipal Office Building, 200 Holliday Street,\n Baltimore, MD 21202 at a fee of $10.00 per book.

Thursday,\nJuly 23, 2020\n Assignment Sale - liens for properties not purchased at Tax Sale\n 2020 on July 20, 2020, may be purchased at lien value as of this date at\n BidBaltimore.com. All items in the Assignment Sale will close at 4:00 p.m.\n Local Time.

PERSONAL AND BUSINESS CHECKS WILL NOT BE ACCEPTED FOR TAX SALE PAYMENTS\n AFTER THE MAILING OF THE FINAL BILL AND LEGAL NOTICE ON OR ABOUT FEBRUARY\n 1, 2020. PERSONAL AND BUSINESS CHECKS FOR TAX SALE PAYMENTS WILL BE\n RETURNED BY MAIL TO THE PROPERTY OWNER AND THE LIENS ON THE PROPERTY WILL\n REMAIN SUBJECT TO THE TAX SALE.

Service hours will be extended in advance of Tax Sale 2020. The Tax Sale\n Office will open for business at 8:00 a.m. and remain open until 5:00 p.m.\n on Friday, June 26, 2020, Monday, June 29,\n 2020, and Tuesday, June 30, 2020. Due to the large number of taxpayers expected at that\n time, walk-in customers may experience, and should be prepared, for\n lengthy delays of approximately two (2) hours or more.

  3. Accept the terms of the User Agreement.

  5. Submit an IRS Form W-9 in the name of the person or legal entity to\n whom the Tax Sale Certificate should be issued.

  7. Pay $100.00 registration fee via ACH Debit.  The registration fee\n is non-refundable and will not be subtracted from the amount owed for\n Liens. The same bank account number shall be used for registration fee\n and certificates purchased.
